The four-year full-time degree programme offered by SSLA, takes forward the ethos of NEP 2020, which helps students learn to make critical connections among diverse subjects, modes of thinking, and view major decisions within a broader social and historical perspective. It allows faculty and students to engage with, understand and reconcile a wide range of ideas, viewpoints, and perspectives within several disciplines. It seeks to provide a cultural orientation to the world in which we live, and equip students with ideas, analytical and communication skills, global perspectives, as well as the ability to synthesize knowledge and make informed value judgments.
The programme offers a comprehensive education. Courses at SSLA are broadly categorized into Core (Foundational and Skill Enhancement courses), Majors (where 10 courses have to be pursued within a specialisation along with a mandatory Internship), Minors (where 6 courses have to be pursued within a specialisation), and Electives that are inter-trans-multidisciplinary in nature.
Focus on research together with the requisite components of internship and community engagement, enables students to prepare for higher studies, career advancement, and for the exercise of leadership in the corporate world and the communities we live in. It also helps students develop essential 21st-century skills that allow them to seamlessly enter the workforce and gain meaningful career and life choices.

Students majoring in Anthropology, Business Studies, Economics, English, History, International Relations, Media Studies, Philosophy, Political Science and Public Policy, Psychology or Sociology, together with the Research Project, will be awarded the degree of Bachelor of Arts (Liberal Arts) Honours with Research.
Those pursuing the majors mentioned above, but without the research project, have the option of pursuing an additional internship or two additional courses from the major area of specialization. The degree awarded will be Bachelor of Arts (Liberal Arts) Honours.
Similarly, students majoring in Mathematics and Statistics or Computer Studies, along with the Research Project, will be awarded the degree of Bachelor of Science (Liberal Arts) Honours with Research.
Those pursuing the above-mentioned majors, but opting for an additional internship or two additional courses from the major area of specialization, will be awarded the Bachelor of Science (Liberal Arts) Honours degree.

**Depending on any unavoidable circumstances, the schedules as well as the nature/structure of the test can change, and all tests can be conducted entirely online or entirely offline or in a combination of both modes at the discretion of SIU.
A candidate can appear for SET/ on both the dates May 05, 2025 (Monday) and May 11, 2025 (Sunday). If a candidate appears for more than one test, the higher score will be considered for the final percentile calculation. There will be no normalization. A rigorous process that has been statistically tested will be administered to ensure that unique types of questions are framed under a specific topic across the question papers. The normal spread will ensure that there is no unfair advantage to candidates who opt for any specific test / multiple tests. This will ensure the normalisation of the spread of questions across sections. Furthermore, the question papers will be normalised for the level of difficulty across all two tests. No correspondence regarding this will be entertained.

Upload your latest colour passport size photo at the time of Online Registration. (Your photograph should not be more than 04 months old and should match the photo uploaded during registration).

A candidate desirous to submit their candidature to select UG programmes, will also require to complete the payment process of desired programme before the closing date of payment of the same. Payment towards the programmes must be made through the website only (set-test.org). After making the payment for SET/ SITEEE, proceed to complete the online registration form (Part II) for Programme (s) registration and the respective institute(s). A candidate is required to make separate non-refundable and non-transferable payment of INR 1000/- per programme per institute at this stage.
If candidates want to pay programme payment through Demand Draft, make Demand Draft of INR 1000/- for each programme in the name of “Symbiosis Test Secretariat”.

The Symbiosis Test Secretariat will authenticate the details of Demand Draft and will send you an email confirming the payment. Only after the realization of payment, would you be able to view your Admit Card.
SET 2025 fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
Please note that Symbiosis Test Secretariat will not be responsible for non-delivery or any delay on the part of courier / postal services.
It is also mandatory to complete the payment process of desired institute for desired programme(s) before the closing date of payment of the respective programme. Payment towards the programme(s) also needs to be done through the website www.set-test.org only.
For disputes between the candidate and the Symbiosis Test Secretariat, the candidate should first send an email to registrar@siu.edu.in with details about his/her grievance. If the candidate is not satisfied with the decision of the Registrar, he/she can appeal to the Ombudsman of the University. No change of test city requests will be entertained once candidate has completed registration for SET/ SITEEE 2025. Test City allocation is made based on date of payment for SET/ SITEEE. The earlier you pay, the higher chances of securing a Test City of your choice.
It is advisable that candidate decides prior to registration, which test(s) he/she wants to appear for as in a computer- based test, the test Centre capacities are limited.
The Test Centre and its address will be printed on the Admit Card.
While all efforts will be made to ensure that the candidate gets a test city as per his/her preferences, however, in some exceptional circumstances, a different test city in a nearby area may be allotted.
Symbiosis Test Secretariat reserves the right to change or allot a city other than the one requested by the candidate in the event of the requested city not being available for any reason.
Every candidate is urged to note that no donation or capitation fee is required to be paid for admission to any of the Symbiosis institutes. Parents and students are cautioned against falling prey to any such assurance/offer by any individual or outside agency.

Admissions of international students are centralized for all the constituent institutes of Symbiosis International Deemed University and are routed through the Symbiosis Centre for International Education (SCIE).
SCIE earmarks 20% of the total intake of the respective program for international students which include, Foreign Nationals (FN), Person of Indian Origin (PIO) Card Holders, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) Card Holders, and Non-Resident Indians (NRI).
Foreign National (FN): A student is eligible to apply as a Foreign National (FN) if he/she is a citizen of any country other than India and holds a foreign passport.
Person of Indian Origin (PIO): As per the Government of India notification dated 9th January 2015, all the existing Persons of Indian Origin cardholders registered as such shall be deemed to be Overseas Citizens of India cardholders.
Overseas Citizen of India (OCI): A student is eligible to apply as OCI if he/she is granted with Overseas Citizenship of India and has an OCI card.
Non-Resident Indian (NRI): A student is eligible to apply as a Non-Resident Indian (NRI) if he/she has appeared for either 10th or 10+2 (equivalent to the Indian 10th or 12th) examination outside India.
