The SSLA UG Admissions 2024 will be a Non-SET admissions process. This implies that applicants will not be required to appear for the Symbiosis Entrance Exam (SET), but will be able to apply directly from the SSLA admissions portal.
A candidate needs to register for the Rolling-Cycle-Based Admission (RCBA) process, which will begin in January 2024 and close in June 2024.
Admission to SSLA is based on a comprehensive assessment, which takes into consideration SOP, LORs, 8th-11th scores, extra-curricular activities, Writing Ability Test (WAT) scores, and Personal Interaction (PI) scores.
WAT and PI will be conducted post the completion of the application after payment of the Registration fee. Please see the segment on the Timeline for details.

The four-year full-time degree programme offered by SSLA, takes forward the ethos of NEP 2020, which helps students learn to make critical connections among diverse subjects, modes of thinking, and view major decisions within a broader social and historical perspective. It allows faculty and students to engage with, understand and reconcile a wide range of ideas, viewpoints, and perspectives within several disciplines. It seeks to provide a cultural orientation to the world in which we live, and equip students with ideas, analytical and communication skills, global perspectives, as well as the ability to synthesize knowledge and make informed value judgments.
The programme offers a comprehensive education. Courses at SSLA are broadly categorized into Core (Foundational and Skill Enhancement courses), Majors (where 10 courses have to be pursued within a specialisation along with a mandatory Internship), Minors (where 6 courses have to be pursued within a specialisation), and Electives that are inter-trans-multidisciplinary in nature.
Focus on research together with the requisite components of internship and community engagement, enables students to prepare for higher studies, career advancement, and for the exercise of leadership in the corporate world and the communities we live in. It also helps students develop essential 21st-century skills that allow them to seamlessly enter the workforce and gain meaningful career and life choices.

Students majoring in Anthropology, Business Studies, Economics, English, History, International Relations, Media Studies, Philosophy, Political Science and Public Policy, Psychology or Sociology, together with the Research Project, will be awarded the degree of Bachelor of Arts (Liberal Arts) Honours with Research.
Those pursuing the majors mentioned above, but without the research project, have the option of pursuing an additional internship or two additional courses from the major area of specialization. The degree awarded will be Bachelor of Arts (Liberal Arts) Honours.
Similarly, students majoring in Mathematics and Statistics or Computer Studies, along with the Research Project, will be awarded the degree of Bachelor of Science (Liberal Arts) Honours with Research.
Those pursuing the above-mentioned majors, but opting for an additional internship or two additional courses from the major area of specialization, will be awarded the Bachelor of Science (Liberal Arts) Honours degree.

Applicants can opt for any of the 3 cycles to complete the admission process.
In the first part of the application form, candidates will have to provide their personal/contact details, and education profile from 8th Standard till 12th Standard (12th standard details are optional based on availability of final/predicted scores to initiate the admission process).
Confirmation of admission will depend on the candidate's successful completion of Standard 12 and submission of relevant documents. Please see the segment on the list of documents to be submitted and the Eligibility Criteria.
Provisional admission will stand cancelled if the minimum eligibility prerequisites are not fulfilled.

Final marksheets for Class 8, 9, and 11, as well as the Board Exam marksheet for Class 10 and if available, for Class 12.
Statement of Purpose (SOP) (This should include why you want to apply to SSLA; what interests you at SSLA; your interests, career goals, and future plans; and how you will contribute to SSLA). Please note that the SOP should follow these guidelines:

It should not exceed more than 500 words.
Mention your name on the top of the SOP.
2 Letters of Recommendation (LoRs) from two school teachers or a school teacher and the principal on the letterhead of the school duly stamped and signed that the candidate attended.
Extra-curricular certificates as applicable.
If you wish to add to your application, you may submit your SAT scorecard, with the designated institutional (DI) Code for Symbiosis School for Liberal Arts on the College Board being 7840. This DI Code facilitates easy location of SSLA on the College Board Platform. Please note that the submission of the SAT scorecard is obligatory for applications that include SAT details. Only then will the application be considered complete. However, please note that the inclusion of SAT scores is not mandatory.
Candidates who register for a specific cycle but fail to complete the payment formalities within the deadline will be automatically pushed to the subsequent cycle (if applicable).
Admissions in Cycle 2 and Cycle 3 will be dependent on seat availability after Cycle 1 Admissions.
Candidates who are not offered provisional admission in Cycle 1 or 2, will be considered as waitlisted candidates in subsequent cycle/s (if applicable).
SSLA admissions is purely an online process and no in-person application or payments will be entertained.
Payment Instructions
Pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 2500/-.
Online Payment through Credit Card / Debit Card / Internet Banking and UPI
Payment can be made directly through either Master or Visa card online. Follow the instructions on the application/registration portal.
After the completion of the registration process and opting for the specific cycle that the applicant wants to complete the admission process by, they will have to appear for the WAT. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for the PI process.
Details for WAT and PI will be communicated to the applicants. The dates for these can be checked in the segment titled, Timeline. Applicants are requested to frequently check their registered email- IDs and the SSLA website for updates.
The final selection process carries weightage for all components listed during the application process including WAT and PI. Hence appearing for both WAT and PI is mandatory to be considered for final selection.

Passed standard XII (10+2) or equivalent examination from any recognized Board with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes).
SSLA reserves the exclusive right to reject any application without assigning any reasons thereof.
A non-refundable fee of Rs. 2500/- for online application is payable by every candidate at the time of registration for the SSLA.
All disputes in this regard are subject to the legal jurisdiction of Pune.

The information provided in the application form will be used by SSLA. Applicants may receive information by email or other forms on matters related to SSLA and they cannot object to such mailers.
A candidate applying under any of the reserved categories is mandatorily required to submit relevant documents issued by the competent authority. Participation in the admission process at any stage, by that candidate, is purely provisional and always subject to verification and authentication of relevant documents.
In case a candidate falls under more than one of the above categories (e.g., Scheduled Caste as well as Differently Abled or any other combination), s/he would need to select any one Category (i.e. either Scheduled Caste OR Differently Abled in the case of example mentioned above) at the time of filling up the SSLA registration form. The category selected by the candidate at the time of filling the registration form will be considered to be their category for the entire admission process. All benefits and entitlements if any, shall be according to such selected categories. Candidates will not be able to claim benefit under any other category/ies at any stage of admission on any account whatsoever.

In this regard, SIU requests the aspirants/parents to refrain from entering into any transaction with such elements. SIU has not appointed any individual/agency/organization to make such assurance on its behalf. It is a matter of Policy that SIU does not charge capitation fee for admission from students and this is widely and prominently published as well on all the relevant places like prospectus, website, etc.
Despite this Notice, if any aspirant/parents still proceed with or enters into a transaction with such elements, they would be doing so at their own risk and cost. SIU further notifies that any aspirant attempting to approach SIU for admission through or at the instances of such agents will be permanently debarred from admission to all the courses and programs at Symbiosis International (Deemed University).
Applicants are advised to ensure that the information they have filled is accurate. No changes shall be permitted after the registration under any circumstances. Applicants are fully and solely responsible to provide correct information during the application process. If it is found that any information provided by the candidate at the time of filling/submitting the registration form is not true, SIU has the right to cancel the application or admission, at any stage, in accordance with its rules and regulations. Any direct or indirect attempt to influence the management and employees of the Institute will lead to automatic disqualification of the candidate.

Admissions of international students are centralized for all the constituent institutes of Symbiosis International Deemed University and are routed through the Symbiosis Centre for International Education (SCIE).
SCIE earmarks 20% of the total intake of the respective program for international students which include, Foreign Nationals (FN), Person of Indian Origin (PIO) Card Holders, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) Card Holders, and Non-Resident Indians (NRI).
Foreign National (FN): A student is eligible to apply as a Foreign National (FN) if he/she is a citizen of any country other than India and holds a foreign passport.
Person of Indian Origin (PIO): As per the Government of India notification dated 9th January 2015, all the existing Persons of Indian Origin cardholders registered as such shall be deemed to be Overseas Citizens of India cardholders.
Overseas Citizen of India (OCI): A student is eligible to apply as OCI if he/she is granted with Overseas Citizenship of India and has an OCI card.
Non-Resident Indian (NRI): A student is eligible to apply as a Non-Resident Indian (NRI) if he/she has appeared for either 10th or 10+2 (equivalent to the Indian 10th or 12th) examination outside India. It is mandatory for one of the two qualifying examinations to be given outside India. Please refer to www.scie.ac.in for more details.
