APPLICATION PROCESS FOR INDIAN STUDENTS TO SYMBIOSIS SCHOOL FOR LIBERAL ARTS

There are two options for Indian students to apply for admission at Symbiosis School for Liberal Arts (SSLA).

  • Option A - SET (Symbiosis Entrance Test)

  • Option B - SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test)

Option A, Step 1:

Students choosing Option A have to follow the procedure mentioned below:

Candidates will have to register for the General Paper of the SET (Symbiosis Entrance Test).

Process for registering:

  • Go to https://set-test.org/ to register for the examination
  • After successfully creating the username and password, the candidate will have to fill in their personal information in the web portal
  • They will have to select SET General paper in order to be eligible for application to SSLA.
  • SET 2023 will be conducted on two dates. Candidates can appear for one or both the dates i.e., May 06, 2023 (Saturday) and May 14, 2023 (Sunday).
  • If a candidate appears for more than one test, the higher score will be considered for the final percentile calculation.
  • Details of the same are mentioned on SET Registration 2023: SLAT / SET / SITEEE | Symbiosis Official (set-test.org)
  • Candidates may complete the registration by making a payment of Rs1950/- towards the SET fee if the candidate is appearing for the SET on either one of the two dates. If the candidate wishes to apply for both the SET dates, they will have to make a payment of Rs3800/-. In addition to this, the candidate has to make a one-time payment of Rs1000/- towards SSLA as registration fee. Payment has to be made online.
  • Admit cards can be downloaded from this portal in April 2023.

Option B, Step 1

SSLA offers admission via SAT Scores as well. However, candidates who wish to use their SAT scores, must also mandatorily fill in the SET application as per the process mentioned below:

Process for registering:

  • Go to www.set-test.org to register for the examination.
  • After successfully creating the username and password, candidates will have to fill in their personal information in the web portal.
  • SAT scores will be requested in the application form. Once the SAT scores have been filled, candidates are requested NOT TO choose SET General and centre. SAT students are exempt from having to appear for the SET.
  • Once the candidate has filled in their SAT scores, they have to complete the registration process by making a payment of Rs1950/- towards SIU registration and Rs1000/- towards the SSLA registration fee. Payment has to be made online.
  • In addition to the above, Candidates have to MANDATORILY send in their SAT scores to SSLA via the College Board Platform.
  • DI Code for Symbiosis School for Liberal Arts in the College Board is 7840. This DI Code will enable the candidate to find SSLA on the College Board Platform easily.
  • Only after SSLA receives scores via the College Board, will the application be treated as complete.

*IMPORTANT

If SSLA does not receive the candidate’s SAT scores from the College Board, the application form will be treated as incomplete/invalid and there will be no refund of the fees paid towards the registrations.

Option A & B, Step 2

  • SSLA will declare its shortlisted candidates eligible for the Step 2 - PI WAT, after Step 1 of Option A or Option B has been completed by all the candidates. The shortlist for the PI-WAT will be declared after April 14, 2023.
  • WAT (Writing Ability Test) will be conducted online before PI (Personal Interaction).
  • PI (Personal Interaction) will be conducted either in a hybrid or purely online mode. Details will be shared soon.
  • Based on the combined scores of SET/SAT and the PI-WAT, the Merit Lists will be published.
